Course registration is available during the pre-registration period announced via online memo, and again in Week 1 and Week 2 of each new trimester.
The add/drop system closes on Friday of Week 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Credit transfer applications must be submitted during your first academic trimester upon enrolment at UTAR. Please submit the Credit Transfer Application Form together with your academic transcripts, programme structure, course syllabus, Certificate of Award, and other relevant documents to the FGO by Friday of Week 2.

Course withdrawal is similar to dropping a course, but no refund will be given for an approved withdrawal.
Pre-registration generally begins in Week 14 for long trimesters and Week 7 for short trimesters. Please refer to the UTAR Portal announcement for the official schedule.

After pre-registration closes, the system reopens during Week 1 and Week 2 of the new trimester for add/drop. The last day for online registration is Friday of Week 2 before 5:00 p.m. Seats are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students may apply for Leave of Absence by submitting the prescribed application form to the FGO. Please refer to the terms and policies stated on the form before submission.
The total leave of absence must not exceed 2 years for bachelor degree programmes.
Students should complete the rejoin slip sent to their home address and submit it to the FGO (Room D120/D216), or email it to the relevant FGO staff. The FGO will advise on course registration after receiving the rejoin slip.

Yes. The Faculty will notify you once your application has been processed.
No. Approval for a replacement examination is only granted once.
Yes. You may submit an appeal online within three (3) working days from the date the result is released.
You may apply for a review of examination results via the UTAR Portal under the Examination menu.
Students who wish to appeal against termination may submit the application via the UTAR Portal under the Examination menu.

Pre-requisites vary by programme. In general, students must have completed at least 42, 44, or 60 credit hours, and must achieve a GPA and CGPA of 2.00 or above in the trimester before industrial training.
Please refer to announcements on the Faculty of Science website and UTAR Portal. The briefing is typically held during Weeks 3–4 for long trimesters and Weeks 1–2 for short trimesters.
After you submit the required information, the Faculty General Office (FGO) will email you a softcopy of the industrial training verification letter.
Yes. Students must pre-register for industrial training during the course pre-registration period at the end of the trimester.
Please submit your company offer letter and signed indemnity forms through the designated online platforms as stated in the industrial training briefing slides.
Please consult your academic adviser or programme industrial training coordinator for advice on postponement.
You may request the job description from the company and discuss it with your programme industrial training coordinator before accepting the placement.
An academic adviser is a staff member who guides students on course planning, degree requirements, and university resources. You may check your academic adviser via the UTAR Portal.

Please proceed to the Division of Finance (Ground Floor, Block F) to make payment. Then bring the receipt to the Centre for Multimedia Production and Services (CMPS) (Heritage Hall, Room A170) to renew your student ID.
Your e-Student Bill will normally be available in Week 3 from the commencement of the trimester or semester.
