Course registration is available during the pre-registration period (announced via online memo) and also in Week 1 and Week 2 of every new trimester.
The add/drop system closes promptly on the Friday of Week 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Applications must be made during the first academic trimester upon enrolment at UTAR. Submit the Credit Transfer Application Form together with academic transcripts, programme structure, course syllabus, Certificate of Award, and other relevant documents to the FGO by Friday of Week 2.

A course withdrawal is subject to the following:
Pre-registration generally begins in Week 14 (long trimesters) and Week 7 (short trimesters) for FSc students. Refer to the UTAR Portal announcement for the official schedule.

You can view your Y1S1 timetable for the February 2026 trimester on the Faculty of Science timetable page. Please select your programme code to open the correct schedule.
Students may apply for Leave of Absence from their programme of study by submitting the prescribed “Application for Leave of Absence” form to FGO. Please refer to the policies on the application form.
The total leave of absence shall not exceed 2 years for bachelor programmes.
Students are required to fill in the rejoin slip sent to the student’s home address and submit it to the FGO (Room D120/D216) or email the slip to the relevant FGO staff. The FGO will advise on course registration upon receiving the rejoin slip.

Yes, the Faculty will notify you of the outcome of your replacement examination application once it has been processed.
No, approval for a replacement examination is only granted once.
Yes, you may submit an appeal online within three (3) working days from the date the result was released.
You may appeal for a review of examination course(s) results via UTAR Portal under the Examination menu.
Students who have been terminated from their programme of studies and would like to appeal against termination can submit the application via UTAR Portal under the Examination menu.

Pre-requisites vary depending on your programme. Students must have earned at least 42, 44, or 60 credit hours, and must have GPA and CGPA of 2.00 or above in the trimester preceding their industrial training trimester.
Refer to announcements on the Faculty of Science website and UTAR Portal. Typically, the briefing is held during Weeks 3–4 (long trimesters) and Weeks 1–2 (short trimester).
Once you have submitted the required information, the Faculty General Office (FGO) will email you a softcopy of the industrial training verification letter.
Yes. Students must pre-register for the industrial training course during the course pre-registration period at the end of the trimester.
Submit your company’s offer letter and signed indemnity forms through the designated online platforms, as outlined in the industrial training briefing slides.

Your e-Student Bill will be available in Week 3 from the commencement of your trimester/semester.
